Veggie Quiche + Cinnamon Roll Latte = best way to start your morning in the northwoods.
Not to mention adorable decor inside to help you buy gifts for friends whether you're a tourist looking for a souvenir, a townie looking for that token of thank you or scrambling for a last minute christmas/birthday/anniversary gift.
And if you're still looking for a gift for me... a gift card to the Red Canoe would be much appreciated!!! -

Normally, I would give this place a four or five stars. I have been here many times and I love the coffee! Their drinks are not cheap but not the most expensive and I feel, pretty worth the money since I enjoy the coffee so much.
We usually visit The location inside the Sentry Foods in the center of St. Germain. This was my first visit to the location next to Cathy's Ice Cream. As we were walking in, we commented on how nice the decor outside was and what a great looking location to sit sip coffee. Our impression did not change as we walked into the shop and looked around at the fun knickknacks, souvenirs, and pastries. This all changed as we walked up to the counter. To say the young, blonde girl behind the counter had a bad attitude was an understatement. Her answers were adequate when we asked questions but the attitude bordered on rude. We paid over $25 for some drinks and a bag of coffee. I went out to the car and my girls waited for their smoothies. Another young lady was making the drinks and was very pleasant but when my daughter asked for whipped cream on the top of her smoothie the blond girl, seething with attitude, rolled her eyes and grab the can of whip cream. I get that we all have bad days however you can't really show it in retail.
Stores up here have a very short season to make their money. While the red canoe company has been in business for a long time, many businesses close in this area quickly. I say all this because I know this is a good business with a good product. Especially these days, it is hard to get good help. I feel that the owners should know about how their employees are treating their customers. And Young lady, if you read this, the fact that people like us are there buying coffee helps to ensure that that business stays open and that you have a job there or not. Please consider treating your customers with more respect and in a congenial manner; both are desired practices in any walk of life. -
